To say that Covid-19 has significantly changed our day-to-day lives is an understatement. So many things that we used to not even think twice about doing (large gatherings at your house, going on big beach trips, even hugging your bestie!) are now approached differently.
Travel is among the things that we are now realizing we have taken for granted! With restrictions and stay-at-home orders being lifted as we try to return to some form of normalcy, people all over the country are trying to figure out the best ways to travel for their summer vacations while also still adhering to state and local ordinances and social distancing guidelines. I cannot even begin to tell ya'll how many messages I have received with people asking if renting an Airbnb is even safe right now. I may be a little (okay, a lot) biased, but I am here to tell you that when you rent a Pettigrew Adventures Airbnb, it is the safest place you can be! Our Airbnbs offer significant advantages over hotel rooms. With Airbnbs, there is less interaction with other people. In a hotel, as soon as you step out of your room, you enter a hallway where there is no telling how many people have been through there. The same concept goes for the elevators, lobby, and common areas. If you rent an Airbnb from us, you will be the only person that ever touches the surfaces in that house for the duration of your stay (that is of course, if you don't invite anybody with you).

We use a business model in which Pettigrew Adventures uses Bluff City Flips to co-host and communicate with guests and she is compensated based on my total monthly income from our guests. Here are some definitive steps we are taking in order to adhere to CDC-recommended cleaning protocols:
✰We are using cleaning product #14 on the CDC's list of recommended cleaning products.
✰While we have obviously always used high-quality cleaning products, we have now upgraded to hospital-grade disinfectants.
✰ We are paying special attention to high-touch areas (TV remotes, door knobs, cabinet handles, etc).
✰ The option of a 24 hour "blocked off" period before check-in is offered to every guest. This means that no one has been in the Airbnb for 24 hours prior to your arrival. (In other words, no back-to-back bookings).
✰ The check-in process is interaction-free. Guests are given a code to the keypad of their Airbnb and there is no handing off of keys between host and guest. We have always had this in place, but it is even more convenient for our guests now!
✰ Our cleaning staff wear gloves and a mask when they clean 24 hours before your arrival.
✰ Each and every disinfectant we use is CDC-approved.
